Finally a tutorial that explains this topic in a practical and visual way. I was marauding around the internet to find something on this topic for ages, but mostly found textual or theoretical explanations. Thanks a lot
Totally, the more you practice the better you get! Although it does sort of drive you crazy...I'll stare at a tree and wonder which colors I'd use for the shadow and then realize... that I'm completely insane.
Love this. It's a topic close to my heart (having somewhat recently read through the whole of <href="[link]">The Dimensions of Colour twice and then vowing to write a tutorial or ebook explaining it in a simpler way), but I still feel like I've learned something. I think 'if you do this, your pictures will look more awesome and realistic' didn't quite penetrate until I read this.
(And the background colours are less contrasty in this one! I guess it wasn't just me.)
I'm guessing you probably get this a lot, but are you intending to do a tutorial on halftone? I love the way your t-shirts are designed. For some reason it never occurred to me to try out half-tone (even though I know it costs per colour).
Thanks for the feedback! I never thought of doing one on halftone because I'm only just starting to learn it myself. I'm not sure I would feel comfortable making one because I don't really know a whole lot about it. Maybe once I feel I have a real handle on it, I will!
